Feature Documentary
“A truly moving piece of cinema” – Nick Valentine
“Uplifting and unforgettable” – Philippa Byers
“Full of wisdom and humour” – Eileen O'Brien
In 2013 the Australian Government ‘stopped the boats’. At the time I was living in Jakarta and wanted to know more, so I drove to the boats’ staging post in Indonesia. Who were the refugees? Where did they come from? And what were they going to do now?
The Staging Post follows two Afghan Hazara refugees, Muzafar and Khadim. Stuck in Indonesia and facing many years in limbo, they built a community and started the school which inspired a refugee education revolution.
A real-life, real-time, multi-platform documentary. The Staging Post is about friendship, connection and the power of community.

Nigerian Stories (2011-2014)
Documentary Web Series
Between 2011-2014 I was lucky enough to spend three years living in Nigeria, West Africa.
During that time I filmed in 24 of 36 states and completed many short development films. Working with Partnerships in the Niger Delta (PIND) I proposed, created and managed a film production and training facility in Warri, a post-conflict region of the Niger Delta.
As I travelled I began to make these short web-docs about some of my favourite people and places in this fascinating country.
