Just another massive year!
Hey all,
It’s been a simply massive year for Light Sound Art Film. Thanks for following along on our journey. There’s some really exciting news coming up in the new year. More projects, more dreams, more bringing people together around stories that connect us around the world!
Highlights include
Watandar, My Countryman screening on SBS
You Should Have Been Here Yesterday (YSHBHY) screenings across 50+ cinemas and a hugely successful Q&A cinema tour. So good to see full cinemas! This is how we beat the algorithms!
YSHBHY screened at every major film festival in Australia, including the Sydney Opera House! Thanks to the Adelaide Film Festival, SAFC and Umbrella for making this happen.
500 people came from around the world to celebrate 10 years of refugee-led education in Indonesia. When Australia stopped the boats we became part of a different narrative. A story which continues to spread around the world. (See Cisarualearning.com for more on that)
We developed our next film We Are Not Powerless (Trailer). A huge thanks to Shark Island and Screen Australia for their support.
We are developing a number of small and large drama projects. Stay tuned for more announcements.
Want to work with us. We are looking for Production Managers and Producers. We work in the most difficult of areas, but we love what we do and work with heart and joy. If that sounds like you come and say hi.
We’ll be at AIDC, SPA Conferences in 2025 and hope to see you there. Or elsewhere on our travels.
Keep up your great work. Some photos below.
Have a great break,
Hamish, Jolyon and the LSAF team
